1:1 Online Somatic Therapy

Individual support for those who want to access life’s magic through their nervous system and body

Does this sound familiar to you?

You know there’s a deeper layer to life—a place where you feel connected, alive, and aligned with your inner truth.

You’re learning to not be defined by your past traumas and actually seeing it as a source of power.

You’re ready to discover the wisdom that your body holds.

You desire a life where emotions, sensations, and relationships flow with ease and bring joy and fulfillment.

You’re curious about stepping into your fullest self, creating a life that reflects your values and dreams.

You’re ready to live the life of your dreams!

Then, you are in the right place!

After years struggling with health issues, such as arthritis, chronic pain, depression, anxiety and many more that prevented me from living a healthy life, I decided to search for my own answers by studying a different range of modalities.

Many healing modalities I found would make me feel overwhelmed and would leave me exhausted for days. These modalities would not prepare me to navegate through my trauma, and my traumatised system did not have the capacity to deal with more sad, frustrating and angering memories.

When I encountered Somatic Experiencing my perspective of healing changed.

I understood that in order to heal trauma and my body, I did not need to dig in my past and take the risk of retraumatizing myself.

I finally understood that the key for healing was not in investigating the stories, finding who to blame or even looking for forgiveness but in the relationship with my body, connecting with my internal and external resources, and in strengthening my capacity to feel safe in my own skin.

Today I show you that healing is a journey that happens through the body, without overwhelming you or making you feel exhausted for days!

Frequently Asked Questions

1.What is Somatic Experiencing (SE)?

Somatic Experiencing® is a natural, body-based approach to healing trauma, developed by Dr. Peter Levine.

Instead of focusing only on the mind or reliving painful events from the past, this approach helps us to listen to and work with the sensations in the body, which hold memories of the difficult experiences we have lived through.

The body has its own ways of reacting to danger - such as fleeing, fighting or freezing - and when we can't complete these reactions, energy gets trapped in our nervous system. This can cause anxiety, tension, emotional blocks or the feeling of always being on alert.

Through Somatic Experiencing, we release this energy little by little, safely, without having to relive the traumas. The body learns that the danger has passed and finds a state of balance, calm and vitality again.

It's a gentle and profound way of reconnecting with the body, where we recover our natural ability to live with more presence, lightness and inner security.

2. What is Trauma?

Trauma is not just what happened to you, but how your body reacted to that situation. Sometimes, even when a lot of time has passed, the body still feels as if it's still in danger, getting stuck in the survival responses (fight, flight and freeze) - and this affects how we feel on a daily basis.

Trauma is the body's natural response to something that has been too much, too fast or for too long.

Each person reacts differently, so the trauma is not in the event itself, but in the impact it has had within us.

As Dr. Peter Levine says:

"Trauma is, in essence, a loss of connection - with ourselves, with our bodies, with others and with the world. This disconnection happens slowly and often we don't even notice it."

It's important to know that there are two main types of trauma:

a. Shock Trauma: This is linked to sudden and intense events, such as accidents, surgery, violence or life-threatening situations. The body has not had time to process what has happened, and the energy of the moment is “frozen” in the nervous system.

b. Developmental Trauma: This is the result of repeated experiences in childhood, such as emotional neglect, abuse (verbal, physical or emotional), manipulation or the absence of a secure bond with a caregiver. Even if the events were not extreme, the continuous and accumulated impact can leave deep scars.

3. What does a Somatic Therapist do?

A somatic therapist helps you to understand how your autonomic nervous system works and to develop awareness about the sensations that arise in your body.

Instead of focusing only on the words or the story you bring, the therapist guides you in a deeper listening to your body - helping you to recognize what you're feeling, where you're feeling it and how your body reacts to internal and external stimuli.

During the sessions, the therapist is by your side as a safe, calm and attentive presence. This support is fundamental, because sometimes the process of touching certain layers can arouse discomfort or more intense emotions - and this is where the therapist's regulated presence makes all the difference.

The aim is to help relieve symptoms of stress, anxiety, tension or blockage, and to support you in finding new ways of dealing with the challenges of everyday life, with more presence, inner security and lightness in body and life.

4. What happens in a Somatic Experiencing session?

The main aim of Somatic Experiencing sessions is to help the body safely release the energy linked to traumatic experiences, by increasing body awareness and the ability to be with sensations and emotions.

Somatic Experiencing brings the body to the center of the therapeutic process - that's what makes it unique. Instead of being asked to relive the trauma or talk in detail about what happened, you are guided to pay attention to the subtle physical sensations in your body, because that's where trauma is often stored.

Throughout the session, you are invited to observe how your body reacts - for example, where there is tension, cold, heat, trembling or the urge to take a deep breath. The therapist helps you to recognize and regulate these sensations, gently and safely, while always respecting your rhythm.

The process involves moving gently between moments of increased activation (when the body is on alert) and moments of calm, until the nervous system learns to find balance on its own.

Some techniques used are:

a.Titration - Processing the trauma little by little, without overloading the body.

b. Pendulation - Moving between comfort zones and more challenging zones in the body, creating balance.

c. Discharge - Releasing the energy built up in the nervous system in a safe way (for example, through a sigh or shudder).

d. Relaxation techniques - Conscious breathing, visualizations and other practices that help to calm down.

Each session is adapted to your pace and your history. It's not about forcing anything, but about creating space in the body so that you can feel safe, present and more alive again.

5. How long does a session last?

The session lasts for 60 minutes.
